The famous Netflix documentary, Tiger King, got a lot of popularity among viewers. However, in a surprising turn of events, the rival of Joe Exotic, Carole Baskin has officially taken control of the Wynnewood zoo.
CNN reported that, on Monday a judge ruled in the favour of Carol Baskin’s Big Cat Rescue Corporation in a lawsuit against the Greater Wynnewood Development Group, LLC.
Joe Exotic’s Real Name and The History of Wynnewood Zoo
Joe Exotic was the previous owner of Wynnewood. The real name of Joe Exotic is Joseph Allen Maldonado Passage. Right now, he is in prison serving 22 years for 17 animals abuse cases and for plotting the murder of Carole Baskin.
Who Is Carole Baskin?
Carole Baskin, who owns Big Cat Rescue Corporation, now has the 16 acres of property in Garvin County, Okla. The current owner of the place has 120 days to evacuate the whole place.
Till Monday, the place was owned by the mother of Joe Exotic and his previous rival Jeff Lowe.
Baskin stated in the court that the zoo was transferred in a fraud way, so that it would not be seized by the creditors.
The judge stated that these transfers were made to ensure that the zoo does not get in the reach of Big Cat Rescue.
Carole Baskin has also sued Joe Exotic for using her Big Cat Rescue Logo.
The duo’s epic rivalry can be seen in the Netflix’s documentary series, the Tiger King.
The Court documents that Joe Exotic Paid a hitman $3000 to kill Carole Baskin. He was also guilty of killing five tigers and selling baby lemures.
Jeff Lowe On The Matter
The attorney of Jeff Lowe said they knew that Carol Baskin was in pursuit of getting the ownership title of the park which belonged to Joe Exotic. He also added that we are not going to stop her in her attempts. Jeff Lowe is totally focused on opening a new Tiger King park in Oklahoma in the next 120 days. Jeff Lowe went on stating that he will leave the park in a reckless condition for Carole Baskin to take over. He hinted at burying a body on the land before Carole Baskin takes over it.
